SFPE Conference Fire Service Scholarships Available

The Society of Fire Protection Engineering is offering 10 scholarships to the fire service so they may attend the North America Conference being held in Nashville, TN. The scholarship covers registration cost to attend the conference and the conference features a special track the fire service.

This application is open to all full-time fire service personnel to cover registration for the SFPE North American Conference & Expo on 28 October-2 November. The event will be held at Renaissance Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

For 2018, there will be up to ten (10) scholarships awarded. Travel costs will not be covered by this scholarship.

All applications must be received by 10 August 2018. Applicants will be notified by 4 September 2018.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicant Criteria

Applicant must be full-time fire service personnel.

Applicants that are members of SFPE will be given preference. *

Completed application packages must be received by 10 August 2018.

*Preference does not indicate that other applicants will not be considered. However, where applications are similar, preference will be given to the SFPE member.

Application Procedure

Provide current resumé.

Provide a reference letter from a supervisor.

Applications will be reviewed by the SFPE Committee on Outreach and Advocacy – Fire Service Subcommittee.

Applicants will be notified by 4 September 2018 if they have been selected to receive a scholarship.
