Two Beaufort County Citizens Receive SCSFA Citizenship Award

The #SCSFA was proud to present two Citizenship Awards today to two of Burton, SC outstanding citizens.

Denise Lessard of Battery Creek High School and Kelli Bright Burke were nominated by Burton Fire District and received the South Carolina State Firefighters' Association‘s Citizenship Award for their efforts in saving lives through education. Both Denise and Kelli have been instrumental in helping further Burton's community risk reduction efforts.

The Citizenship Award is given to people who may or may not be members of the fire service, but who have contributed through

local civic activities, service to the state or to the Association.
