Foundation receives grant from MCA

The South Carolina Firefighters Foundation was one of nine organizations selected to receive a $9,000 grant from Mobile Communications America as part of its annual MCA Day Grant program.

MCA launched the MCA Day Grant program in 2021 when it awarded 8 organizations individual grants of $8,000 a piece. The day of giving celebrates the company’s founding while putting its motto – demonstrating what it means to take a service-first approach – in action. Eligible nonprofits include first responder, military, education, and public health organizations.

Nearly forty nonprofits submitted applications for the MCA Grant Day. MCA charged its MCA Spartans, members of MCA workforce who go above and beyond in demonstrating a service-first mentality, with selecting the final 9 nonprofits.

In addition to the Firefighters Foundation, MCA awarded a second South Carolina organization, Hub City Farmers Market, an MCA Grant Day donation.
