Delegate elections + meet candidates for 4th Vice President

It’s delegate selection season at the South Carolina State Firefighters’ Association! Fire Chiefs or designees across the state are currently selecting their delegates who will be casting their vote during the 2021 Fire-Rescue Conference. The selection period ends at midnight May 28, 2021 and voting for delegates begins June 1, 2021. The deadline to submit votes is June 11, 2021 at 1 p.m.

Ballots will be sent via email with a unique link to an electronic survey where votes are cast. The link to the survey cannot be shared and can only be used once. Only delegates selected by your department will receive the ballot email. 

You must have a working and accessible email addresses in the SCSFA member management system (database) to receive a ballot email. If you are a delegate and you do not receive your ballot email after June 1, 2021 be sure to check your junk/spam folders and/or other means of email security like barracuda. Please contact a SCSFA staff member at 800-277-2732 with questions. 

Departments are encouraged to meet with the candidates for Fourth Vice President prior to the election in June. Below is the contact information for candidates Battalion Chief Randy Arant and Captain Brian Brazier, along with a brief introduction video. 

Randy Arant

Irmo Fire District Battalion Chief Randy Arant began his firefighting career as a volunteer with the Lexington County Fire Service in 2003. Since then, he has graduated from the SCSFA Leadership Institute and served on the Finance and Audit Committee. Read his letter of intent and contact Battalion Chief Arant at [email protected] or 803.622.9838. 

Brian Brazier

Aiken Department of Public Safety Fire Division Captain Brian Brazier has been an active member of SCSFA for over three decades, including serving on the Advisory Committee and as interim Fourth VP from January-June 2020. In addition, Captain Brazier is a past president of the Aiken County Firefighters’ Association. Read his letter of intent and contact Captain Brazier at [email protected] or 803.221.1574.
