About the position: - Works 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling - This is a federally funded position made possible through a SAFER grant until Aug. 12th, 2028 - Reports to the Fire Chief - Works directly with current and potential volunteers on the following: Engaging personnel in the department Researching and implementing ways to increase volunteer participation Ensuring required trainings are completed by personnel Keeping volunteers updated on department changes Meeting one-on-one with volunteers monthly to discuss progress/goals Attending department-scheduled trainings twice per month Responds to emergency incidents when available Benefits: Salary of $20 per hour Participation in SC Police Officer’s Retirement System Those not eligible for PORS will be placed in SC State Retirement Flexible scheduling
