Salary Range for a Fire Inspector I (60,694.40-83,907.20) Salary Fire Inspector II (64,958.40-89,128.00) Under regular direction and in compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, conducts inspections of commercial properties and assists with permit field inspections and fire investigations. Conducts routine and follow-up inspections to ensure compliance with International Fire Codes. Performs occupancy compliance checks and inspects special event sites. Works special events and performs fire watch duties. Assists in training the public in fire safety and advises public on general and specific fire and life safety matters. Assists in the formation of evacuation and emergency action plans. Assists in conducting fire investigations. Serves for call-in on a rotating basis.
