You're invited to the 2025 Battle of the Badges

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 30, 2025, and get ready for a full day of fun, friendly competition, and community spirit at the Battle of the Badges Charity Softball Tournament.

📍 Where: Melvin Park, 370 Eptings Camp Road, Chapin, SC
🕗 When: Opening Ceremony begins at 8:00 a.m., and the first games hit off at 8:30 a.m.

This year’s tournament features 12 incredible teams representing agencies from across the state, including:

• SLED

• FBI – Columbia Office

• Irmo Fire District

• SC Department of Corrections

• Columbia Police Department

• SC Department of Natural Resources

• Aiken County EMS

• Lexington County Sheriff’s Department

• SC Criminal Justice Academy

• Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office

• U.S. Army – Ft. Jackson

• Columbia Fire Department

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit two outstanding organizations that provide essential mental health and support services to South Carolina’s first responders:

• Law Enforcement Chaplaincy for South Carolina (LECSC) – www.lecsc.org

• South Carolina Firefighter Assistance and Support Team (SC FAST) – scfast.org
