"A Town on Fire," an SCETV documentary detailing the 1923 Cleveland School Fire that occurred just outside of Camden, South Carolina, in the Charlotte Thompson community, aired for the first time on May 16, 2024, the night before the 101st anniversary of the tragedy. The fire claimed the lives of 77 people and impacted state and national codes regarding fire safety. The Cleveland School Fire remains one of South Carolina's most fatal fires.
