Volunteers needed for Sound the Alarm

The American Red Cross is hosting its annual home fire safety “Sound the Alarm” signature event in Spartanburg County, April 17-24, and volunteers are needed. The organization is partnering with local fire departments and Fire Safe SC to target 1,500-1,700 homes with fire alarm installs and fire safety education. The primary event is on Saturday, March 22 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and will target roughly 900 homes across the county. The majority of volunteers are needed for the Saturday blitz.
