Update on the Officers Section by-laws and Section membership eligibility

The by-laws governing the Officers Section of the South Carolina State Firefighters’ Association have been updated to adjust membership eligibility and the voting process for electing Officers Section leadership.

Section membership is available to those individuals who are at the rank of Lieutenant and above and are Regular, Affiliate or Associate members of the SC State Firefighters’ Association. The by-laws update grants membership eligibility to graduates of the Fire Officer Academy: The Company Officer and Leadership Institute.

Additionally, the Section by-laws governing the voting process now reflect the Association’s by-laws to include online voting.
