Statewide Traffic Incident Management Teams(TIM) routinely convene to discuss the on-scene operations, planning, and other areas of mutual concern to support local traffic incident management operations. These teams consist of members of law enforcement, fire, EMS, EMD, Towing, and other local, state, and federal partners. This process has helped facilitate the rapid clearance of incidents on highways that can easily contribute to secondary collisions and injury to first responders. In addition, we discuss local agency standard operating procedures and unified goals identified by the Federal Highway Administration and other agencies. Formal invite letters are mailed in advance of each meeting. Currently, teams are organized in the following areas: Columbia, Greenville, Spartanburg, Rock Hill, Florence , Myrtle Beach, Orangeburg and Charleston. The meetings generally commence at 10:00 A.M. and conclude around 12:00 P.M. We appreciate your continued support of the S.C. Traffic Incident Management Plan.
