The 2018 Kickoff to Fire Prevention Conference is approaching quickly. You won’t want to miss the 2018 Kickoff to Fire Prevention in Camden, SC September 20-22, 2018. The last day to get the reduced rates at the hotels ends on Friday, August 17th. Call and reserve your room TODAY. Thursday, September 20th will include a cookout hosted by the Camden Fire Department with lots of networking. Friday, September 21st will focus on what we have learned from the horrific Cleveland School Fire in Camden, SC. There will be a field trip to the actual site of the Cleveland School Fire where we will lay a wreath and then on the mass grave at Beulah Baptist Church where we will lay another wreath. We will also have a presentation from Robby Dawson from the NFPA on how we learn from the past to reduce fatalities and injuries in the future as well as an update from Chief Josh Fulbright on Fire Safe South Carolina. Saturday, September 22nd will include a wide array of ideas of ways to launch new fire education programs from NFPA’s Kelly Ransdell and then more great ideas for new fire education programs from Marsha Geisler, Downers Grove Fire Department, Illinois, who wrote the Fire Educator Handbook.
