Funeral services for firefighter Phillip E. “Eddie” Turner will be held Friday February 24th at 2pm at Millbrook Baptist Church 223 South Aiken Blvd, Aiken SC 29803. Eddie began his public service career with the Graniteville Police Department, followed by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and retired from the North Augusta Department of Public Safety. Following his retirement from North Augusta, he joined the Batesburg-Leesville Police Department and was currently a firefighter with the Sage Mill Fire Department. He was the true definition of a “Public Servant”. The family will greet friends on Thursday February 23rd, 2017 from 3 until 8 o’clock at Millbrook Baptist Church, Aiken SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, February 24th, 2017, at 2 o’clock at Millbrook. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC with full firefighter honors.
