Survey of Internet Connectivity at Public Safety Institutions

February 6, 2013

Join me in completing the following survey for South Carolina’s vital database of Internet connectivity at public safety institutions. The Federal government is initiating the creation of a national public safety network, which makes collecting connectivity data for your location especially crucial. The state of South Carolina has partnered with Connect South Carolina (www.connectsc.org) to create a detailed, interactive map of broadband coverage across the state for inclusion in the National Broadband Map and for planning and policy uses. These maps provide an inventory of broadband capacity across the state, including Community Anchor Institutions (CAI) and public safety institutions like yours. We are asking that you complete a simple and secure online survey, http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RJH5DMW, to aid in these efforts. You will be asked information such as: The survey also includes a simple, quick online tool that measures the speed of your online connection. We understand that you are very busy and thank you in advance for your time assisting with this important state initiative. Please do not hesitate to contact me or Lindsay Conrad from Connect South Carolina with any questions ([email protected] or 843-817-8597).
