South Carolina State Fire is hosting Fire Scene 2017 at the South Carolina Fire Academy September 16-17. This two-day event provides an opportunity for firefighters of all levels of experience to further their careers through a variety of courses.
The featured course this year is Command Symposium, providing students with several new leading edge-must know command lectures, case studies, and scenarios from three American leading ICS pioneers: Alan Brunacini, Bruce Varner, and Dennis Rubin. Topics include critical decision making under stress, improving hazard zone communications, and a review of several pivotal case studies.
The registration fee is $80 and includes lunch (both days) and a catered dinner Saturday night. The Saturday night dinner also features a tailboard discussion with Brunacini, Varner, and Rubin.
