SCSFA’s Life Safety Education Section’s “New Beginnings For A Safer Tomorrow” Conference

As this year’s President of the Life Safety Section of the SC State Firefighters’ Association, I invite you to this year’s Life Safety Education Conference.  The members of the conference committee have worked very hard to make this conference both beneficial and cost effective for all attendees. We also placed an emphasis on bringing in instructors that are new to our state in order to share new and fresh ideas!

Our feature presenter is Dave Brasells. Dave is not just a Life Safety Educator but a Nashville truck company engineer and photojournalist previously with several news stations. He currently is the Executive Producer of the popular YouTube channel, Instructor 5 Productions. To learn more about Dave, HERE is his extensive bio.     With Fire Prevention Week around the corner, many of us will be tasked with making sure that our departments maximize our efforts in reaching out to the community.  This conference aims to ensure that we all have the tools needed in order to do just that.  Join me and many others as we have a unique opportunity to not only learn from one of the best in the industry but also to take time to learning from each other during our round table discussion that will involve attendee based participation.  

The conference is September 18 – 21, 2019 at the Crown Reef Resort and Water Park, Myrtle Beach SC. Registration is $125. This link will also provide a detailed schedule, description and presenter information. We have blocked rooms for the conference at the resort, but they are first come, first serve.
