That was the title of Chief Shane Ray's presentation at our Winter Quarterly Training last Saturday at the Fire Academy. Chief Ray presented several topics that generated lots of good discussion. One of those topics was something we've all been taught or heard about; "fight the fire from the unburned towards the burned" or some other variation of the same principle. You get the picture. Chief Ray questioned that. Is that principle based on science or myth? This is just one of the items talked about last Saturday. We plan to have the entire video presentation posted here on our website in the near future so you can see it for yourself. But until then, what do you think about this one item? As Brad on Twitter put it, "will we push fire? Or is this just a myth?" We would love to see some comments posted here so "fire away!"
