Hello South Carolina Firefighters,
The Association Health & Safety Committee would like to share 2020 Firefighter Safety Stand Down. “Safety Stand Down is a joint initiative of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and the National Volunteer Fire Council.” The event focuses on the critical importance of responders taking care of themselves both on and off the emergency incident scene. An entire week is provided to ensure all shifts and duty crew can participate.
The theme of Safety Stand Down 2020 focuses on responder safety at roadway incidents and best practices in traffic incident management. Many organizations have developed training, resources, and videos related to this critical topic.
2020 Firefighter Safety Stand Down is June 14th through 20th. There’s a lot a resources available for you to share with your members.
