Firefighters across South Carolina every day step up without hesitation—on the fireground, in the classroom, and in their communities. Much of that work happens quietly, without recognition. Let us change that.

Award nominations close January 31. With just days left, we urge departments, officers, and peers to take a moment now to submit nominations for the folks who deserve to be recognized.

Recognition matters. It tells our people that their sacrifices are seen. It honors acts of bravery, leadership, mentorship, and service that reflect the very best of the fire service. Most importantly, it ensures those stories are preserved and shared.

If someone in your department made an impact this year, don’t assume someone else will nominate them. Take the initiative.
