A lot of folks are talking about online training for the fire service. Our Fire Academy has developed several online and blended learning courses to help serve their customers. The Association will be creating a new website to host additional online training resources in the near future. The Association's website will not offer Fire Academy classes, but instead it will offer online various skills videos and presentations that a local Training Officer could use for regular station training. Some departments have partnered with learning institutions such as Kaplan to meet their online training needs. Please post comments on where you think we are in SC regarding online training and also where you think we should be heading.
