The National Fallen Firefighter Foundation has partnered with Soaring Spirits International to develop a COVID-specific widowhood series for their Fire Hero Family community.
This is a 24-week resource program for anyone whose spouse or life partner has died due to COVID. It is open to anyone, anywhere in the world, even if they’re not connected to the emergency services community. is a great way to get more people some much-needed support more quickly. Please help spread the word of the program availability.
Soaring Spirits’ mission is to provide programs, resources and a community of support for widowed people. Though this global health crisis has altered some of our program offerings, this disease won’t stop us from offering you vital access to comfort, support and understanding from people who have also experienced the death of their person, and find themselves trying to pick up the pieces of the life they used to live. Soaring Spirits will provide you with some direct links to the support they offer for the newly widowed, as well as downloadable documents to help you walk through the days ahead. These resources were developed specifically for widowed people, by widowed people to be helpful in the days ahead.
