After many years of faithful service as the Association's Recruitment and Retention committee chair, Chief Bryan Riebe is stepping down. We saw many great programs develop out of this committee under his leadership. The most recent project resulted in the Association receiving a four-year, $825,000 SAFER grant for volunteer recruitment and retention. This grant program has already made a significant impact by awarding several equipment grants to career and technology centers across the state. Filling Chief Riebe's shoes will be a challenge, but we are excited to report Chief Tony Dicks of the Barnwell Fire Department has agreed to serve as chiar. Chief Dicks has served along side Chief Riebe on this committee for several years and is now looking forward to his new role. You can follow Tony on Twitter @chieftonydicks
