Lugoff FD to Host Fire Prevention Expo, October 4

The Lugoff Fire-Rescue will be hosting a free Fire Prevention Expo at Lugoff-Elgin High School Front Parking Lot on October 4, 2014 from 10AM-12 PM. This event will be the kick-off for the National Fire Prevention Week October 6-10, 2014. This year’s fire prevention theme is “Working Smoke Alarms Save Lives: Test Yours Every Month”. Lugoff Fire-Rescue will be hosting fire trucks from the West Wateree Fire Departments on display as well as the Fire Safety House from the Camden Fire Department, the FireWise Education Trailer from the SC Forestry Commission, a fire bulldozer and Fire Trax from the SC Forestry Commission, and fire trucks from the Lugoff Fire-Rescue. There will also be a special operations demonstration during the morning for fire department special operations. There will be bounce houses, sno cones, popcorn, and lots of free fire prevention materials and toys for the kids. Parents will be provided important fire prevention materials and education on smoke detectors, escape plans, fire dangers, and home wildfire prevention ideas from FireWise. Various community vendors will also be present giving away materials to all attendees. Everyone is invited to attend and spread the word about this Fire Prevention Week kickoff in Lugoff October 4th from 10-12 at L-E High.
