Leadership SC needs your help

February 26, 2025

Leadership South Carolina is one of the oldest and most respected statewide leadership programs. The Class of 2025 First Responders’ Appreciation Project seeks to recognize Circle Volunteer Fire Department Chief Chad Satcher and Firefighter Landon Bodie who died in the line of duty during response to Hurricane Helene. Funds raised will be used to purchase emergency generators and excess funds will be donated to the South Carolina Firefighters Foundation in memory of Chief Satcher and Firefighter Bodie.

The First Responders’ Appreciation Project also includes a First Responders Day luncheon where Tri-County Technical College will donate a memorial plaque recognizing Chief Satcher and Firefighter Bodie, and Nelson Mullins Law Firm will help firefighters write and prepare wills through the firm’s “Wills for Heroes” program. Complimentary tickets to the lunch will be provided to firefighters and their families.

All community ticket sales, event sponsorships, and donations will benefit the Circle Fire Department and greater South Carolina fire service.
