Kill The Flashover returns to the Fire Academy

The South Carolina Fire Academy is teaming up with Joe Starnes, co-founder and co-manager of Kill the Flashover, to present Kill the Flashover Project 2014 (KTF14). This free four-day program will begin Monday, Feb. 10 with an evening roundtable discussion. Scheduled classes begin Feb. 11 and include three different classes rolled into one.
KTF14 is based on recent fire research and tactical considerations. Participants will test, evaluate and discuss the impacts of fire behavior, thermal data, and agent application. KTF14 is limited to 60 participants with 30 earmarked for the S.C. fire service.
AGENDA
February 10
- 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Roundtable Discussion: Joe Starnes, Facilitator, Denny Auditorium
February 11-13
- Check in and Orientation
- Classes include Fire Behavior, Thermal data, and Foam/Agent
- Also, three test burns will be held each day
February 14
- Critique and Debriefing (noon conclusion)
