Have a free will prepared with Nelson Mullins

Nelson Mullins is offering free will preparation services for first responders through its Wills for Heroes Program on Thursday, July 25 from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Nelson Mullins office in downtown Columbia. Spouses are encouraged to participate with their first responder partner.

Appointments are mandatory to participate in the Wills for Heroes Program.

To set up an appointment, contact Emily Guerrero at (843) 534-4102 or by email [email protected] to set an appointment time. Please attempt to make your appointment by July 19. Appointments fill up fast, so please book in advance. After your appointment is made, Nelson Mullins will email you a questionnaire to complete. Your spouse will receive a questionnaire too. Please bring the completed questionnaire with you to your appointment to assist with preparing your will.

Please note that the Wills for Heroes clinic is unable to serve persons with large or complicated estates, those who want to set up sophisticated trusts, those who have beneficiaries (e.g., a spouse or children) who are on needs-based assistance (such as SSI disability or Medicaid), or those who would like to exclude their spouse from the will.
