From UNC Chapel Hill and the Carolina Center: Addressing Cancer in the Fire Service webinar

The Addressing Cancer in the Fire Service: Insights and Applications of the Total Worker Health® Approach webinar webinar brings together leading experts to discuss the Total Worker Health (TWH) approach as a model to address firefighter cancer. Dr. Eric D. Ryan, a professor at UNC Chapel Hill and investigator at the Carolina Center, will introduce how his team uses the TWH framework to improve firefighter health and safety. Battalion Chief J. Keith Wilder from the Raleigh Fire Department will provide a frontline perspective on the impact of cancer within the fire service. Dr. Erin Kobetz, an Endowed Chair for Cancer Research at the University of Miami, will highlight the cutting-edge research she leads within the Firefighter Cancer Initiative, an interdisciplinary program addressing cancer disparities in South Florida firefighters utilizing the TWH model.
