From the NVFC: A Guide for New Firefighter Families

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) announced last month the 2nd edition of its What to Expect: A Guide for New Firefighter Families book. This new resource aims to help new fire and EMS recruits and their families make the adjustment to the volunteer fire service lifestyle. Joining the volunteer fire service is a commitment that impacts the entire family, and it’s important that everyone in the family is on board. The Guide for New Firefighter Families helps families prepare for their ‘new normal.’

The What to Expect: A Guide for New Firefighter Families (Second Edition) is free to download, or order up to 10 copies from the NVFC store for the cost of shipping.
