Lithium-ion batteries have become a staple in our lives, powering everything from smartphones to electric vehicles. However, these batteries can be dangerous if not handled properly. That's why it's important to have a Standard Operating Guideline (SOG) for dealing with these batteries; but, because of the newness of the technology, few SOGs are available.
Blue Card—an online training platform from Alan, Nick, and John Brunacini—is offering a free lithium-ion battery SOG. This document outlines best practices for handling and storing lithium-ion batteries, as well as what to do in case of a battery-related emergency.
The free SOG on lithium-ion batteries is an essential resource for anyone who works with these batteries. It provides clear and concise guidance on how to handle, store, and respond to emergencies related to lithium-ion batteries. Like any SOG, it’s important to note that it will need to be updated as new information and research becomes available.
