June 5, 2023
We are officially on the countdown for Fire-Rescue 2023! As we prepare to host firefighters from across the state and region, we wanted to remind you of a few important details.
Checking in
There is no pre-registration because the conference is free for members and classes are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Check-in at the kiosks when you get to the Convention Center to get your badge and pick up guest badges for your family.
Voting members
Voting members will need to pick up their badges at the voting member-specific kiosks. All voting members are receiving special badges to easily identify them. In addition to the electronic voting for 3rd and 4th Vice President, voting members present at Fire-Rescue will vote to accept two new by-laws changes during the business meeting on Thursday, June 15, 2023. The changes are minor but require a vote from the voting members. Voting members must be present during the Business Meeting to vote on the by-laws changes. Read about the proposed by-laws changes in the June 1 edition of our Rattle Watch newsletter.

The track kicks off in the morning with Chris and Renee Elrod presenting “The Two Thirds,” at 9 a.m. followed by "Preventing a Flashover: Surviving a Firefighter Relationship" at 10:45 a.m. from Sabrina Yaw. Amanda Moore wraps things up in the afternoon at 2 p.m. with "'Back to the Table,' a mindset for fostering healthy relationships.”

The Foundation is hosting a silent auction on Friday and Saturday during Fire-Rescue. Items include driving experiences, collectable items, wine tastings, and more. Bidding closes on Saturday, June 17 at noon.
