SC Fire Academy Brings Emergency Vehicle Response: Awareness Online  Guest Post by Mr. Clarence Bennett, Curriculum Developer with the South Carolina Fire Academy The South Carolina Fire Academy’s online learning community is pleased to announce the availability of the new course, Emergency Vehicle Response: Awareness (EVRA). This class replaces the old POV Emergency Response. EVRA develops the students’ awareness-level understanding of emergency vehicle response and better prepares them for future levels of emergency vehicle response training. It provides emergency vehicle operators, whether career firefighters in department vehicles or volunteers in privately owned vehicles, the knowledge necessary to safely operate a vehicle when responding to an emergency. This class does not require a registration. Go to our online learning community (http://scfaonlinetraining.org) and create an account. Click the link and complete the class—it’s just that simple.  For more information concerning the class, click here, and the enrollment key is "EVRA". We can reduce the LODD caused by unsafe emergency vehicle response, and this course is one way to help work toward that goal. For more information, please contact our online training staff at [email protected] or (803) 896-9078.
