Grand prize is $10,000 and a $5,000 fitness makeover for your department Now through August 21, Cardioviva™ and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) are searching for volunteer firefighters or EMTs who are willing to – or who already have – overcome high cholesterol through diet and exercise. Over $20,000 in prizes will be awarded to three Heart Health Champions. To enter, simply share your personal story about why you are motivated to battle – or how you have successfully battled – high cholesterol with diet and exercise. Submit your story and photo online via the Contest tab on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Cardioviva, or enter on the web site at http://trymark.com/cardioviva/. Entrants must be volunteer firefighters or EMS providers and members of the NVFC. If you are not currently a member, join at www.nvfc.org/membership. Entries in the Search for Cardioviva Heart Health Champions contest will be judged by public voting and a panel of heart health, fire, and nutrition/fitness experts. By entering the contest, you can help inspire and motivate fellow fire service professionals, their communities, and consumers to make heart-healthy diet and lifestyle changes. One grand prize winner will receive $10,000 for his or her department and a $5,000 firehouse fitness and nutrition makeover. Two first place winners will each receive $5,000 for their department and a $2,500 firehouse fitness and nutrition makeover. The deadline to enter is August 21, so share your story today!
