Catch the #SCFR16 Experience
May 26, 2016
This year, as part of the 2016 Fire Rescue communications plan, our team will be using multiple media channels to bring you up-to-date information and “the flare” of the conference. We wanted ways for all firefighters and guests to experience the events and happenings throughout the week. Even if you are on shift or cannot make it, these channels will provide a way to connect.
Check out the following channels throughout the conference:
FireRescuesc.org
The conference website contains a tremendous amount of information about the week. An up-to-date schedule, that includes pre-conference and HOT class descriptions and times, presenters, vendors and an interactive exhibit hall floor plan as well as special events like the EMT and Explorer competition. Bookmark FireRescuesc.org to stay current.
SC Firefighters App
Our App is fully interactive with a link to SCFR16. Includes up-to-date schedule, links to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. (only available in the Apple App store)
Live Streaming events
The major “big room” events will be streamed through the SCSFA website again this year. To view the schedule and watch the live events, just click on Live Events tab on the SCSFA website.
Twitter
Follow @FireRescueSC on twitter to receive regular updates and share your experiences. This account will be used predominantly by our team to share and inform throughout the conference. Our tweets will include the hashtag #SCFR16. We encourage you to use this hashtag as well when tweeting about the conference.
Periscope
New this year, our team will share short live videos through Periscope from the @FireRescueSC twitter account. Starting with the golf tournament Monday morning we will create and share live video broadcasts. These will all be random so don’t be surprised if a member of our team sneaks up on you. To watch these events, just follow along on twitter.
Facebook
The Association’s Facebook page will also be used to share pictures and events throughout the week. Like South Carolina State Firefighters’ Association from your Facebook account for notifications.
We look forward to spending the week with you at #SCFR16 this year. Tune in to stay up to date and share in the experience of the greatest training and networking event in the Southeast.
