Camden Fire Department answered the call

March 30, 2026

Camden Fire Department has stepped up with a generous $5,000 donation to the South Carolina Fire Heritage Center, officially answering the Beaufort County Chief’s Association challenge and continuing the momentum behind this historic effort.

Their contribution joins the South Carolina Burned Children’s Fund, which was among the first to respond to the challenge—setting the tone for what is quickly becoming a powerful show of unity and support across the fire service community.

The South Carolina Fire Heritage Center is more than just a building; it is a lasting tribute to the history, tradition, and sacrifice of firefighters across the state. This effort ensures that the stories of South Carolina’s fire service are preserved and shared for generations to come.

The Beaufort County Chief’s Association challenge has sparked meaningful engagement across departments and organizations, highlighting the pride and commitment that define the fire service. Camden Fire Department’s leadership and generosity serve as a strong example of what can be accomplished when departments rally behind a shared vision.

Now, the challenge continues.

Fire departments, organizations, and individuals across South Carolina are encouraged to step up, answer the call, and be part of something truly historic. Every contribution brings us one step closer to making the South Carolina Fire Heritage Center a reality.

Join Camden Fire Department and others in supporting this important mission—give today and help preserve the legacy of South Carolina’s fire service.
