Beware of email scam

A fraudulent email was sent to some members of the South Carolina State Firefighters' Association on November 10, 2021. The message included the subject line: “South Carolina State Firefighters' Association: Members [Document]” and had “[email protected]” in the “From” field. Delete and do not click the link in this message.

Phishing attacks are on the rise and cyber criminals behind these messages are becoming increasingly clever in ways to impersonate organizations to trick readers.

Remember to carefully look at the email address in the “From” field and and display names before opening an email and clicking links or opening attachments.
