Autism Awareness Fundraiser with Taylor's Tins

February 28, 2024

We're proud to partner with Taylor’s Tins to design three variations of helmet fronts, a key chain, and a challenge coin in support of children with autism. The announcement comes ahead of Autism Awareness Month in April.

Randy Arant, Irmo Fire District Battalion Chief and Association 1st Vice President, spearheaded the project.

“The South Carolina State Firefighters’ Association’s Executive Committee and staff are proud to support the autism community through our fundraiser with Taylors Tins,” said Chief Arant. “April is Autism Awareness Month, and we’re honored to play a small part in bringing awareness and raising funds for such a great cause.”

Taylor McLaughlin, owner of Taylor’s Tins, is a former Cape Girardeau, Missouri, firefighter. He started his shields business in 2017 and believes strongly in giving back to the community.

Those who wish to purchase any of the available items must use the Association’s designated link. If you attempt to recreate the Taylor’s Tins helmet front template yourself, the price will be significantly higher and a portion of the proceeds will not be contributed to the fundraiser.
