Arrangements announced for Chief Gene Rushing

Chief Gene Rushing (Retired)

Died Saturday December 17^th 2016 at his residence after a long illness.

Chief Rushing was a member of Estill Fire Department for over 38 years. He was Fire Chief of Estill and Hampton County Fire Service, a Fire Academy Instructor for many years, served as President of the Lower State Firefighters Association, and was inducted into the SC State Firefighters Hall of Fame in 2016.

•  Visitation will be Tuesday December 20^th from 5pm-8pm at the Hampton First Baptist Church, 300 Jackson Avenue East, Hampton SC 29924
•  Funeral will be Wednesday December 21^st 2016 at the Hampton First Baptist Church starting at 11am.

Funeral Home in charge is Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home, 300 Mulberry Street West Hampton SC 29924.

Staging and line-up for procession of apparatus will be at the church and handled by Battalion Chief Kenny Harrison. If you need additional information on placement of apparatus for procession please call Kenny at 803-942-1364.
