Bluffton Township Fire District is accepting applications for a Full-time Training Officer position. Applicants must meet the below minimum requirements to be considered for the position. A selection committee will determine viable candidates based on the submitted applications and panel interviews will be required of finalists. Minimum Experience: Must have completed at least ten (10) years as a firefighter; Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a NREMT® Paramedic with ALS emergency transport provider experience with progressively increasing responsibilities. Three (3) years of progressively-responsible administrative & supervisory experience. Certifications & Coursework: SCFA or IFSAC Fire Officer II SCFA or IFSAC Fire Instructor II National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMT-Paramedic Valid Class E South Carolina Driver’s License or equivalent American Heart Association BLS Instructor American Heart Association ALS Instructor American Heart Association PALS Instructor SCDHEC EMT Instructor Certification SCFA Academy Instructor in good standing Education: Associate Degree in Fire Science or related field. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Starting salary range for this position is $73,125 to $80,000 annually.
