Burton Fire District is looking for a Staff/Captain Medical Training Officer, responsible for the management and coordination of the District’s Medical Operations program and professional standards. Will function as a captain within the command staff reporting to the fire chief and supervising field level Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics. REQUIREMENTS: • Must be a NREMT Certified/South Carolina licensed Paramedic. • Must have at least three years of Paramedic level field experience. • Must have and maintain ACLS and CPR certifications. • Must have or be eligible for CEP and CPR instructor credentials. • Must have thorough knowledge and mastery of the adopted emergency medical protocols for Burton providers and have a thorough knowledge of modern emergency medical principles and practices. • Must be certified and maintain Infection Control Officer in accordance with NFPA 1581 Standard on Fire Department Infection Control Program. • Must pass annually the physical examination by the BMH Occ Health Physician and maintain their respirator qualification. • Must be able to successfully pass drug screen when selected.
