Under the direct supervision of the Battalion Chief – CRR, The Public Information Officer creates dynamic and innovative multimedia content and manages media relations for Bluffton Township Fire District. Responsibilities include: serving as the District’s spokesperson; establishing and implementing internal and external communication procedures and related work; creating the District brand; preparing and distributing press releases; creating communication strategies for the District; attending meetings and making presentations as needed; and establishing and overseeing messaging, and proactively promoting the District’s classes, activities, and public service.
