Are you looking to join a high-performing team of Fire and EMS professionals? The Glassy Mountain Fire Service Area located in the beautiful mountains of northern Greenville County is seeking highly motivated persons to fill full-time and part-time positions including: • Firefighter: New Recruit, FF/EMT, FF/AEMT, or FF/PM (Full-Time w/ Full Benefits) • Engineer/EMT, Engineer/AEMT, or Engineer/PM (Full-Time w/ Full Benefits) • FF/EMT, FF/PM, or Paramedic Only (Part-Time w/o Full Benefits) Successful firefighter candidates will possess Emergency Medical Responder (minimum); must meet South Carolina Firefighter II certification within 1 year of appointment. Engineer candidates must possess the firefighter qualifications plus Pump 1, Pump 2 (Mobile Water Supply) and have experience as a driver/operator. All candidates must possess a valid South Carolina driver's license or be able to obtain such prior to appointment; moreover, once hired, maintain a valid license during employment. EVOC/CEVO/Emergency Vehicle Driving Training preferred; must obtain within 1 year of employment. Candidates not possessing National Registry and SC EMT certification must attain certification within 18 months of employment. The applicant may be subject to pre-employment drug screen, and/or passing of a medical and/or psychological exam upon being offered employment. BENEFITS: Full time benefits include Pension Plan (SCRS), Paid Employee Health/Dental/Life, Family Health & Dental, accrued vacation, sick leave, and personal leave.
