WFFD is searching for Lieutenant's/EMT-B (preferred) candidates for our growing department needs. These positions will work 48 hours on and 96 hours off rotation shift schedule. Qualifications for this position are: Minimum 5 years as Firefighter II, Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I, Associate’s Degree or some college is preferred. Minimum EVDT, Pump Ops I and Class E Driver’s License. NREMT-B is preferred, but must receive within 1 year of employment. Must also have the following requirements. NIMS 300, NIMS 400, PICO, ICS Haz-Mat, STICO, Incident Safety Officer, Leadership III, Media (Rural Training). Fire Lieutenants may also be required to obtain other technical or professional certifications as deemed necessary by the Chief. Candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment physical, TB test and drug screening and SLED check after offer is made.
