Westview-Fairforest Fire Department is seeking to hire dedicated, dependable individuals to join our growing team. These positions respond to emergencies including fire suppression and emergency medical response calls. The positions will work a 24-hour on and 48 hours off rotation shift schedule. Applicants will be subject to a Background investigation through the SLED and require a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Blackstock Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301 Qualifications for the position are: Must be 18 years of age, Minimum of High School Diploma or GED, Minimum Valid Driver’s License, IFSAC Firefighter II (preferred), EVDT and Pumper Operations 1 (preferred), Must obtain NREMT-B within 1 year of hire if not certified. We pay for full family coverage with SC State PEBA Group Standard Plan (best plan) for Medical, Dental Plus, Vision, and we also pay for a $40K life insurance policy for employees, $20K life insurance for spouses, and $15K for dependent children. Also included in our benefits package is a Short- and Long-Term Disability policy which is also paid 100% for all of our employees. We participate in PORS Retirement.
