Laurens City Fire is hiring! Position: Full-time Firefighter Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid South Carolina drivers license with a good driving record, be a high school graduate or possess a GED, and be able to pass a background check. Applicants must be able to pass a firefighter physical, possess or be able to pass Firefighter II certification, be able to work 24 hour shifts, and reside in the immediate vicinity of Laurens upon employment. Responsibilities included, but are not limited to, maintaining fire equipment, pre-fire planning, hydrant maintenance, routine station maintenance, and responding to fire, medical, and all emergency calls. Certification as an interior structure firefighter is preferred.
