The City of Rock Hill Fire Department is hiring! 3 different hiring tracks are available: Firefighter- New Hire Recruit, Firefighter I- Fast Track Class and Firefighter I- Direct Hire. $45,000 starting salary Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED Preferred certifications/licenses & education: IFSAC, Pro Board, or NFPA Firefighter I and Firefighter II, NREMT, HazMat Ops, HazMat Tech, Class “E” Driver’s License The City of Rock Hill Fire Department is an ISO 1 rated department that has been providing fire protection for the community of Rock Hill, South Carolina since 1869. RHFD provides fire suppression services, medical response (up to ALS), Hazmat, WMD, swift water rescue, high/low angle rescue, confined space rescue, and trench rescue. Three shifts operating on a 24/48 schedule staff 2 Battalions, 6 Engines, 3 Ladders, 1 Tanker, 1 Grass truck and other specialized equipment which are operated out of 6 fire stations and the Headquarters/Museum.
