Job Title: Firefighter Instructor Position Type : 190 Days Reports To: Director of Academy for Careers & Technology Job Description Job Duties: Teaching duties will consist of instruction in the following fields:  Firefighter I  Firefighter II  Hazardous Materials Awareness  Hazardous Materials Operations  Basic Auto Extrication Required Skills/Qualifications:  A minimum of 4 years full-time work experience as a firefighter  Receive and maintain instructor authorization from the South Carolina Fire Academy OR have up-to-date teaching credentials issued by the Academy  AND must have or be able to qualify for a SC Career and Technology Education Worked-Based teaching credential issued by the SC Department of Education Evaluation:  Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy DISCLAIMER STATEMENT This job description is not intended as a complete listing of job duties.
