The Clover Fire Department, a dynamic combination department with paid and volunteer members, is searching for one (1) dedicated and skilled individual for a full-time firefighter 1 Assistant position. RESPONSIBILITIES: Engage in fire suppression activities, extinguishing, and preventing fires and all other necessary components in fire suppression activities. Operate a variety of ladders, hoses, and other equipment and carry out actions to control the emergency most efficiently at hand, assist with fighting structural fires. Respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies. Participate in fire prevention and fire safety education. Pre-fire planning of all businesses and assist with hydrant testing and inspections. Document all fire and other emergency incidents and responses in reporting software and collect data monthly. Respond to after hours emergencies as required. Provide BLS emergency medical care at emergency scenes. Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED - High School Diploma or equivalent (18 years or older), Valid Driver's License, IFSAC and/or Pro Board-Certified Firefighter 1.

DESIRED - NFPA Firefighter 1 Certification, Hazmat Operation Level Certification, Emergency Vehicle Driver Training, Pump Ops Certification, CPR/First Aid Certification, NIMS Training.

Starting Salary: $18-$22 an hour based on experience and qualifications.
