The Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire District is looking for Firefighter/EMT-B and Firefighter/Paramedics. The Department offers the S.C. PORS, state health plan, 1% retirement plan, paid vacation, and a flexible swap policy. The Department operates out of 4 stations. We have a growing Disaster Response Team, Surf Rescue, Boat Rescue, and a developing Drone program. At this time we operate 3 full-time ALS Ambulances with a fourth being staffed in the near future. We will also consider hiring Paramedics only and train them to become Firefighters or if they do not want to be a Firefighter, we have a Paramedic Specialist position that works on a 24/72 rotation with no interior Firefighting duties.
