Deputy Fire Marshal Under limited supervision, assists with conducting pre-construction plan reviews as well as conducting periodic inspections on all commercial properties within assigned district to ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire and building codes. Assists with the origin and cause determination of fires. Assists as needed with firefighting duties and/or assists with incident command roles within an incident. Reports to the Fire Marshal. Hiring Range: $51,866.32 - $72,613.94 MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Possess a High School Diploma or GED supplemented by a minimum of two (2) years experience as a firefighter ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the State of South Carolina within ninety (90) days of position appointment. Must possess or be eligible to obtain: NFPA 1001 Firefighter II, NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I, ICC or NFPA Fire Inspector I, NFPA Driver Operator or equivalent. Must possess National Registry EMT certification or higher or obtain NREMT certification within twenty-four (24) months of employment.
