Bio Jeff Oswald

Jeff was born in Columbia, SC and resides in Lancaster, SC. He received his Associates Degree in Engineering Graphics Technology from York Technical College. He is the father of two amazing daughters, Michaella and Megan and a loving Paw Paw to his first grandchild, Rhyler. Outside of work Jeff loves to hunt, garden, work out, and enjoys outdoor activities.

Jeff worked for Joslyn Clark Controls for 21 ½ years in the Engineering Department. In 2008, he entered the SC Fire Service when he joined Elgin Volunteer FD in Lancaster, SC where he served under the leadership of the late Chief Dennis Cauthen. Jeff served on several committees and was also their treasurer. In 2013, he joined the Lancaster City FD where he is currently an active member. Jeff is also a member of the Track Services Team at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Darlington Raceway for NASCAR and track events. He is also a member of the NHRA Safety Safari Team.

He has been the South Carolina State Firefighters’ Association’s One Percent Coordinator since January 2010.  He serves as the central point of contact for all member fire departments regarding issues related to the Firemen’s Insurance & Inspection Fund (One Percent). Jeff also serves as the liaison for the State Supervisory Committee.
